Course Description
The purpose of the MSc/Diploma in Geographical Information Systems is to provide specialist advanced training for graduates in Geography and related subjects or those with equivalent qualifications or professional experience. Students develop knowledge and skills in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) within physical geography and environmental science, and MSc students learn to undertake and manage research projects in a selected topic. The MSc/Diploma in Geographical Information Systems equips students for employment and research in the field. The course has a good employment record among past graduates and an international reputation for its distinctive focus and high quality of teaching.
Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09: £3240, except for MBA: £16500 & Business School MSc/MAs, which vary between £3240-7500. These fees are provisional, please check details when making your application. For further information, regarding fees or funding, please contact the provider. Self-supporting students may pay in two instalments - 50% being payable upon registration & the second by direct debit, from a UK Bank five months after the course start date.

Entry Requirements
Academic entry requirements: At least a good second class honours degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. geography, Computer Studies, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, or other appropriate physical/computer science degree). Suitable equivalent qualifications would be considered for overseas/mature students, especially those with relevant professional experience. English language requirements: IELTS: 6.
