Course Description
This course covers seed sowing and pricking out, seed collection and storage, weed identification, summer pruning and plant staking and tying for named crops, container planting and maintenance, selection of correct propagation methods, layout of planting schemes and bed and border preparation, identification of beneficial insects and other invertebrates in the garden, horticultural calculations, pest and disease control, weed biology and plant identification of a wide range of garden plants and conifers, grasses, perennials, half hardy annuals.
