Course Description
This course aims to give students the underpinning knowledge and skills required to manage large gardens and parks within the needs of modern society. It covers units such as plant science and soils, garden management, hard and soft materials, amenity management, gardening techniques, planting design, gardening techniques 2, historical landscapes, contemporary garden management, marketing gardens, plant sales and nursery practice.
Course Fees
£825 tuition fee for year 1; £550 tuition fee for year 2; £825 tuition fee for year 3
Assessment method
Students will be assessed through written assignments, practical reports, and portfolio of practical work, presentations, case studies and written examinations.
Entry Requirements
Students must have 1 A Level at Grade C or above in an appropriate subject with a second A Level studied or National Diploma at PPM supported by GCSEs.
Equipment and Materials
Students will need protective clothing and footwear, a horticultural knife and secateurs.
Venue Description
This college provides facilities for students with physical disabilities and also provides accommodation facilities.
