This course will provide students with an understanding of the principles and practices which underpin effective garden design. It includes, garden art and design, design history and theories, site assessments, design and communication, graphic techniques, computer aided design, natural processes in plants landscapes, design with plants, design with materials, contract specification, costing and management.
Students must have 120 UCAS credits in advanced level study (equivalent to one A Level at D grade or MPP in BTEC National Diploma); or BTEC National Certificate at MM or NVQ Level 3; or mature students with a keen interest or students with non-traditional qualifications.
