This is a foundation level qualification from which you can gain a grade C. The specification follows a modular scheme suitable for both pre 16 and post 16 candidates. The modular nature of the specification allows candidates who fail to obtain a GCSE grade C at KS4 to carry forward some of their module results. Other subjects that complement GCSE Maths are: Physics, Applied Science, Business and Information Technology.
All candidates would be required to have a GCSE grade D. The course is designed as a revision course for those candidates who are one grade off a grade C, consequently the course moves at a swift pace and is not recommended for those who have not sat a GCSE examination within the last two years.
