This course has a structured framework, creating a supportive learning environment. You are encouraged to develop your creative skills in a wide variety of media. This includes: drawing, painting, mixed media, textiles, sculpture (clay and plaster), printmaking (lino, silk screen and etching) and art history. There is a strong emphasis on the development of personal ideas as well as strong practical skills. You will study historical and contemporary art through visits to galleries and museums and have the opportunity to participate in live projects with professional art practitioners. In the second year, you can undertake a study trip abroad to a location like New York or Barcelona.
