Students will learn to communicate in a range of situations involving speaking, listening and understanding simple written materials, in the following areas: personal identification, social contact, the family, occupation, time, calendar, weather, numbers, food and drink, shopping, accommodation, leisure activities and hobbies. Students will develop sufficient knowledge and understanding of the language in order to converse in everyday tourist situations and acquire sufficient reading knowledge to understand simple messages and signs.
To have studied French for 20 - 30 hours or have basic knowledge of the language.
