Entry Requirements
This course is aimed at adults aged 18 and above. Students with some knowledge of the language must arrange a time to discuss their level with the Course Director before enrolling.
Venue Description
The Institute for Applied Language Studies (IALS) is a research and development centre for language teaching, and is part of the University of Edinburgh. The staff are professional language teachers. The Institute has a Self-Access Centre, giving students an opportunity to practise skills between lessons. The centre includes a Study Room, Language Laboratory and Computer Laboratory. These are available to students on most days after classes. Teachers will advise on how best to use your study time. Please note, The Institute holds classes in both Hill Place and Moray House. Enrollment for all classes takes place at Hill Place.
