Training Associates are a group of counsellors and trainers who have come together to offer good quality short courses in Counselling and CBT. Our courses are recommended as the foundation training for further studies at Certificate and Diploma Level at the University of East Anglia Norwich. We keep our groups small with a maximum of 16 students and keep the learning real with lots of opportunities to try things out and and learn more about yourself. Our core text books are First Steps in Counselling by Pete Sanders for the Counselling courses and Mind over Mood for the CBT courses
We aim to provide an introduction to the Cognitive Behavioural Approach and ways in which the theoretical model is applicable in every day situations. You will be encouraged to apply the approach to your own experience by using a range of techniques to examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The course is taught at Higher Education level and is accepted by the University of East Anglia (UEA) as suitable foundation training for applications to their Certificate in CBT Skills.
