This course covers the following in year 1 -120 credits: creativity and play; self development and study skills; play, development and learning; playwork theory and practice; reflective practice; working with children and year 2 - 120 credits: equality and diversity; leadership and change; adventurous play; social policy and play; community participation; integrated working.
Students must have one or more of the following qualifying criteria: 3 'C' grades at GCSE or equivalent which must include English Language and Mathematics or evidence of the appropriate functional qualifications at Level 2, a minimum of 6 unit Level 3 (AS or A2) or 1 A Level, a relevant BTEC National Diploma or Certificate in Early Years or NVQ Level 3 or HEFC or OCN Access programme.
