Whether you're just starting out, retraining for an exciting new career or wanting to gain qualifications for skills you already possess, the FdA Web Design course, developed in conjunction with recognised industry professionals, will prepare you like no other for a career in the digital design industry.

What You Will Study

We've created a course that specifically addresses the need to design, as well as build, websites. We combine creative modules such as Typography, Digital Imaging and Interface Design with technical modules that study HTML, CSS and PHP, in order to produce graduates who are ready to make an immediate impact in the creative industries.

The creative and technical skills you learn can also be repurposed into print design projects, which further enhance your employability. We have excellent links with local web design professionals, and work closely with them to ensure there's a high degree of industrial relevance to your studies.

Work-related learning is a core theme of Foundation Degrees, and during the final year of the course you will work on a variety of commercial projects in our web design studio, honing your skills whilst working with real clients. Over the past year we have created websites for numerous local and regional businesses, from the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to the BBC's 'The Apprentice' finalist Claire Young.
