Students will be studying on a highly esteemed course based around the professional working practices of the music industry. It is very much vocational and features a strong focus on practical and realistic learning activity; this includes public performances and studio practice. The course consists of a number of compulsory core units and some option units. The modules are performance, music theory, score preparation, aural training, context, studio and in year 2: approximately performance, creative work (writing music), studio and teaching.
Students must have one of the below qualifications: A Levels, BTEC National Diploma or Certificate, Advanced GNVQ and mature students with relevant experience. All students are auditioned at the formal course interview.
