This course aims to produce participants with a mix of business and IT knowledge an understanding of how information technology can help them carry out business functions. Participants will study organisational behaviour, management, business strategy, systems analysis, database management and Internet applications. It covers modules: information systems basics, computer basics, ecommerce introduction, introduction to business software, database applications, information systems development, personal development planning, business information systems, management information systems, management of information and, organisational behaviour and IS work based development.
Participants must have successfully completed either an A Level, a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Computer studies, Business, a GNVQ Advanced in IT or equivalent appropriate qualification and also have three GCSEs at Grade C or above.
