About this course

Who is the course suitable for?

  • Candidates attending this course must be experienced and qualified operators of the types of machines on which they will be required to give instruction and hold an accredited certificate which has been refresher within 6 months prior to joining the course. They should also meet the relevant recommended medical requirements and have proven themselves to be mature and reliable, with the desire to teach others.

  • Course Objective

    • to demonstrate their ability to plan, prepare and present practical and theoretical instruction to an adequate standard (L117)
    • to construct, conduct and mark objectively a practical test of trainees' operating ability and issue appropriate documentation

    • Motivation & Confirmation
    • Question and answer technique
    • Setting up and conducting skills tests
    • Analysing test results
    • Basic report writing & record keeping

Additional entry requirements

candidates must hold a current Counterbalance Licence that is dated within the last 6 months and have a minimum of 12 months operational experience.
