This exciting programme provides a fabulous opportunity for students with career aspirations to work in the field of science, with a particular focus on forensic science. You will learn about the principles and practicalities of working in a scientific setting and the practical applications of biology, physics, chemistry, law and psychology. Through each unit of study you will investigate how each subject relates to forensic science. Extended Diplomas are a work-related alternative to academic study.
You must have Four GCSEs at grade C or above to include Science, Maths and English or a BTEC Firs

The final year consisted of one taught session and one tutorial per month. This filled well with my teaching commitments and the supports of the tutor was always available....more
The course gave a great opportunity to work in different sectors of childcare (ie nursery, schools, etc). The tutors were friendly and easy to talk too and gave options and advice for later progress, especially in assignments....more
