Course Description
The course is for anyone who wants to find out more about floristry techniques, whether it is to build a career in Floristry or for their own enjoyment or even for their own business. Each student can work at their own level and will be encouraged and guided to fulfil their potential. The course is designed to give the student a chance to explore all areas in Floristry; the treatment and availability of commercial flowers; the use of colour - colour wheel, gift packaging and hand tied bouquets; communication - selling in a flower shop; the principles of wiring - including Bridal work; fundamentals of funeral work and various arrangements; Plants and their care.

Tuition Fee: £120.00; Assessment fee: £31.00
Assessment method
Students will be assessed through each piece of work they produce - verbally guided and marked each lesson. They will also be marked on their working file. This will contain items they have collected and researched i.e.. photographs, visual materials - like cloth ribbons - magazine cuttings - drawings - different cultures and how they use flowers, including plant care. They will be required to produce three pieces of work - from the whole year for assessment - and a working file, a lot of this will be information learnt in class, the rest what they discover themselves.
