The course focuses on preparing students for the First Certificate Exam, a General English exam at Upper Intermediate Level, that tests learners skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and structure. The students will be trained in the four skills, extend their grasp of the structures of English and also be introduced to exam techniques. An exam course book will be followed, and supplemented with appropriate materials drawn from various sources. The Cambridge Courses are for students motivated towards an internationally recognised certificate in English. The course will greatly improve your English language skills. Minimum entry at Upper Intermediate level. An entrance test is required for each course: First Certificate (FCE), Advanced Certificate (CAE) or Proficiency Certificate (CPE). Cambridge Courses gives you language development and techniques of how to approach the Cambridge exams. The focus, as always, is communication with practice opportunities on exam skills for the individual items within the exam format of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Skills, grammar and vocabulary are developed through a variety of materials. Course books, practice exams, magazines, video clips (Podcasts, DVD’s, etc) will be presented and used to stimulate your improvement towards passing your exam. You will receive homework tasks to recycle and support classroom practice thus maximising your exam preparation.
