About this course

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires all employers and other organisations to produce a fire risk assessment for any place of work or entertainment. This regulation replaces the need to have fire certificates. The target group for this qualification will include all those people in organisations who are responsible for carrying out the fire risk assessment.

The course includes:

  • Legislation
  • General fire safety precautions
  • HSE 5 step risk assessment
  • Relevant structure features
  • Identifying sources of ignition
  • Combustible materials
  • Emergency planning
  • Writing and reviewing fire risk assessments

Practical elements of the course involve writing a fire risk assessments, emergency planning and assessment review.
