Course Description
Art and performance or visual performance: These degree titles allow visual art and performance students a choice of how best to introduce themselves to the arts world after graduation: as BA Hons Art & Performance, BA Hons Visual Performance. The decision will be a personal and strategic one, made at the end of the second year as part of your development plan for third year work. Textual Practices: Explore contemporary text practices and new writing scenes; acquire critical and practical skills in a choice of: live and sonic texts, writing for digital media, spatial texts including installation and sited work, or bookworks including page-based texts.

Assessment method
You have to pass the first year, although these results do not directly affect the classification of your final degree. Second and third year marks contribute to your degree classification, with different weightings. Throughout each year course work includes practical work, seminars, presentations, log-books, and papers which are regularly monitored and assessed by tutors. You are expected to take an active part in evaluation of your work and, where appropriate, to be involved in self, peer, and group appraisal.
