UCAS Codes: SCOLL S22 001W HND/FAI - Route ASCOLL S22 001E H/FAI - Route BThe HND Fine Art with Illustration Pathway has been devised to enable students to develop the knowledge and skills required to work as illustrators.Students will follow a similar pattern of Professional Practice, Core and specialist Units, to those on the Fine Art pathway, but will relate their practice to developing the specialist expertise required to operate as illustrators by undertaking units in: * Drawing* Visual referencing* Developing a personal style* Communicating with images using digital applications.They will contextualise their studio practice through: * Drawing* Painting* Printmaking* Photography* Electronic imaging* Professional practice by undertaking commisioned artwork* Entering national competitions as live external projects.

Entry Requirements
One of the following:* BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in any Art or Design discipline* Edexcel GNVQ Advanced (level 3) Art or Design Diploma* Edexcel Foundation Diploma (level 3) Art and Design* a minimum of two GCE A Level passes at least one being in an Art or Design subject.Mature students (ie over 21years) do not require formal academic qualifications but will need to provide evidence of appropriate previous experience of art or design. All applicants are expected to produce evidence of their creative potential.
