The MA fine art course is devised to instigate professional excellence and innovative art practice, providing students with the opportunity to select a specifically tailored programme of study; it has been designed to reflect the breadth of contemporary art and offers a wide range of different pathways including painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking, drawing, photography, time-based media and artists writing; the course fosters the integration of contemporary theory and practice, allowing students to make informed judgements and choices regarding ideas and concepts, works of art, and exhibition or display; students are offered studio space in the heart of Shoreditch along with well-equipped workshop facilities.
Core modules: project research and strategies; major project development and professional practice; theoretical studies; major project and evaluative report; optional modules: drawing; painting; sculpture; installation; photography; time-based media; printmaking; artists writing; a range of university-wide options.
