Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide an educational foundation in fine arts from which to pursue personal development, to provide an opportunity to continue study and to further develop career potential. The current world of arts provides artists with virtually limitless possibilities in terms of the realisation of ideas and concepts. To enable students to move towards fulfilling their potential, three factors are considered relevant: knowledge, skill and confidence. By working through the structure of the course, the development of skills and the gaining of knowledge will bring confidence. The first year studies will cover a broad range of disciplines including two and three dimensional, lens based and digital. These practical areas are supported through contextual studies. By the second year, students will have developed a fine art identity, which will continue to evolve and lead to a final project and exhibition.
