This course provides a broad, interdisciplinary experience of contemporary fine art practice, with the opportunity to focus on an individual creative path. A practical, studio-based approach provides the opportunity for the students to develop their personal creative fine art language, skills and philosophies. Year 1 topics: visual research for fine art; context and methodology; skills application and development; work-related studio practice; personal studio practice. Year 2 topics: professional practice; extension studies; critical study; practice and presentation.
Students should have 160 UCAS tariff points, 24 points in International Baccalaureate - specified subjects, GCSE at a minimum grade C in at least 3 subjects including English language, mathematics and science.
