Course Description
This course is designed for those with little or no knowledge of finance. The objectives of the course are to enable candidates; To read, understand and interpret financial accounting documents, including the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account, to measure and compare the financial performance of organisations, using ratio analysis, to understand the importance of cash flow, prepare and interpret and monitor the cash flow of the organization, to consider the different methods of depreciation, their calculation and application, and the effects of depreciation on the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account, to consider all aspects of the Budgeting process including the preparation monitoring and management of the budgeting process. Introduction accounting overview profit and loss account balance sheet accounting ratios, cash flow forecasting depreciation working capital stocks
