This introductory course will cover: the use of the Financial Times, F.T.S.E. sectors, gilts, bonds, unit trusts, day trading, share game options/futures, reading company reports, spread betting, commodities, penny shares, market influences, internet trading, how markets work, nature and types of investment opportunities, understanding investment jargon, gathering and analysing market information, how to buy and sell stocks, shares and other securities - unit trusts, gilts etc., how to select the most appropriate types of investment for one's own needs. Specific needs of class members will be taken into account when finalising the course programme.
