This course prepares students for a career in the media and combines rigorous academic training in research skills and methodology with technical and vocational training in designing, researching and editing programmes, and in the process by which programmes are commissioned and sold; the programme includes a unique 12-week work placement in the media industry at a partner company such as the BBC or Maverick Television; students have the option of submitting a written or audio-visual dissertation.
