This course is aimed at participants who wish to gain a degree qualification in horticulture; this programme gives them the opportunity to specialise in nursery production, fruit production, medicinal plant production or retail. It covers contents that include: plant science, soil science, principles of management, chemistry for horticulture, horticultural production, horticulture resource planning, crop science, retail horticulture, chemical analysis and extraction, post harvest, human physiology and crop production.
Participants should have 120 UCAS points made up from A levels, preferably one in Science based subject, or a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification. They should also have a GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
