This course provides a solid foundation in ecological and environmental science. Participants will be encouraged to apply what they have learnt to the issues of today including: practical conservation skills, land management, public access and tourism. It covers contents that include: countryside management practices, principles of ecology, plant and soil science, introduction to project management, people and countryside, habitat conservation and management, field methods in surveying and identification, GIS, rural land-use and policy.
Participants must have 1 A Level at grade C or National Diploma at PPM or equivalent supported by GCSEs and Life experiences are taken into consideration.
