This course covers the areas of housing, training and education with a strong focus on the needs of supported housing organisations and others, and is concerned with both housing and community development. It has been designed to respond to local and national employers’ needs, for those who can demonstrate their knowledge and skills through modules such as: principles of customer service; helping service user involvement; inter-professional working; sustaining; supporting and promoting independent living and social care; application of community work and community development models; and values within the social housing and supported housing sectors.
Students should normally have a Level 3 qualification with experience in the vocational area and show a commitment to a career in housing and community care.
