In this course, participants will look at factors that influence the creative process; explore, develop and experiment with ideas and techniques; turn their ideas into reality and develop skills that you need to succeed. The qualification takes a broad approach and they will be encouraged to include work from at least two of the following: Art and Design (e.g. 2D art, 3D art, fashion and textiles); Performing Arts (e.g. drama, dance and music technology); Media (e.g. film and television, radio, interactive media, animation, computer games and advertising). On completion, they can progress onto the Advanced Diploma or a similar Level 3 programme or enter the world of work.
Participants should have 5 GCSE grades A*-D or equivalent, including English, Maths and a creative or media based subject.
