This course develops participants practical skills in a range of fashion-related subjects and provides an introduction to the creative industries. They will explore and experiment with ideas, develop traditional skills, incorporate new technology into their work and produce creative products. The qualification takes a broad approach and will include work from atleast two of the following: Art and Design (e.g. 2D art, 3D art, fashion and textiles), performing arts (e.g. drama, dance and music technology), Media (e.g. film and television, radio, interactive media, animation, computer games and advertising). On completion, they can progress onto Higher Diploma or a similar Level 2 programme or enter the world of work.
Participants should have 4 GCSE grades A*-E or equivalent, including English, Maths and a creative or media based subject.
