Course Description
This course offers an introduction to the principles of fashion design and concentrates on the development of ideas from well explored research. A combination of lectures and a design brief to be worked on during workshops will enable students to gain an understanding of the design process, from primary and secondary research and experimental design analysis to refining and selecting their design ideas for a chosen market and developing a mood board with colour selection and fabric awareness.
Equipment and Materials
Students will need to bring A3 layout pad, pencils, fine black fibre tip pens, pritt stick and magic marker or brush pen in their choice of skin tone
