On this degree programme, students work on industry-informed briefs to develop creativity and technical ability; through studio practice, students learn how to integrate design, technology and theory to create the finished product; as well as practical skills, students explore the wider concerns of contemporary fashion, such as ethics, global resources and the environment; for experience of this fast-paced industry, students can take extended professional work placements during an optional sandwich year, or study overseas through the Erasmus exchange programme; teaching methods include lectures, workshops, demonstrations, tutorials and visiting speakers.
