This course is primarily aimed at staff whose roles involve supporting student learning within a high education environment, including technicians, learning support staff and full or part time lecturers; the course offers a flexible framework for participants' continuing professional development as a facilitator of student learning in a higher education environment; students enhance their awareness of the complexity of issues which affect the facilitation of student learning in order that they can reflect upon and suggest improvement to their own involvement in the process; participants can build on this award towards the achievement of the postgraduate certificate in higher and professional education; furthermore, this award offers an opportunity to meet the values and outcomes required to achieve he academy associate fellow status.
Students choose 2 from: Effective teaching in higher education; supporting learning; contemporary issues in higher education; principles of e-learning; designing for e-learning; enhancing academic practice.

The pace of the course is very fine. First semester is basic so its easy but in the second semester it takes you to the deep end....more
taught modules were pretty good. But wish the course length is more so that there will more time spend with the lecturers. More learning....more
