Students explore and learn about different research and evaluation methodologies, complete on-line activities and learn how to develop, manage and complete a successful research project; the course is delivered at graduate certificate level 6 or postgraduate certificate level 7 depending on experience and previous academic background; students are expected to identify an area for investigation and subject to satisfactory research ethics approval and permission from line manager, undertake a research project and complete a research report; students initiate and manage their project, anticipating difficulties and putting forward solutions; opportunities are available to attend and participate in postgraduate seminars.
