This course offers students a thorough grounding in the law of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights; the course is linked to the Institute for the Study of European Laws at City University London, a research centre that brings together academics, practitioners and policy makers working in the field; students are able to get involved in the Institute�s activities and participate in the conferences and seminars it organises; the course covers, at an advanced level, the core aspects of institutional and substantive EU law and the European Convention on Human Rights, with a particular focus on contemporary developments.
Students take 4 modules and a dissertation; a wide variety of modules is offered, including: European broadcasting law; European business regulation I; European business regulation II; European environmental law; European institutions: mechanisms of integration; European litigation; human rights: European and comparative; freedom of expression and the media; modules are subject to availability and demand.
