There is no doubt that the notion of Europe recurs throughout political, economic and legal debate; comparative lawyers and legal theorists have long argued about the respective merits of English common law and codified systems of law, such as that in France and Germany; with this in mind, this programme offers students the opportunity to study the law in a European context in the widest sense; as well as basic and specialist EU areas of law, it also covers human rights law, UK comparative European law, French law, German law and conflicts of law which have application to all legal jurisdictions.
