Students on this programme take 2 core courses and 4 optional courses; a dissertation of 12,000-15,000 words is then submitted in September.
Equality and human rights; and methods of social research; optional courses: the disabling society; sexualities and society; racism and modernity; religion in society; class and stratification; poverty and equality in the global economy; and gender in society; (students can take all options in sociology, or one from another subject including politics, central & east European studies and law).
