The emphasis of this programme is the practical challenge of measuring, analysing and evaluating dynamic environmental data for environmental problem solving and management purposes; it is designed to appeal to students looking to develop their marketability for jobs in the environmental sector both in the UK and internationally, those already in the sector who require professional development, and students looking for research training as a step to PhD research; in the dissertation, students may undertake research that relates to any special interests they have in environmental management; research interests of Loughborough geographers span a wide range of environmental systems, and include: rivers; lakes; estuaries; coastal dunes and glaciers.
