This programme enables students to acquire and develop a broad understanding of the knowledge and skills needed for managing protected areas of the environment, including natural, cultural and recreational sites; it provides the key skills and management tools necessary for resolving conflicting pressures and demands in protected areas.
Core modules: the countryside resource; people and the system; plus 2 specialist modules from: coastal zone management; ecological survey and monitoring; introduction to GIS; conservation management and planning; environmental communication; dissertation.
