Course Description
Students are required to study four core courses, and to choose 4 optional courses, and a dissertation/project. The core courses are: Environmental Research Methods; Techniques in Applied Ecology; Principles and practice of Environmental Conservation; Environmental Legislation and Practice; Environmental Conservation; Dissertation. Optional courses include: Environmental Impact Assessment; Restoration Ecology; Landscape Ecology and Conservation; Environmental Management and Auditing; Coastal Ecology and Conservation; Nature Tourism, Heritage Tourism; GIS; remote Sensing; Sustainable Development and open course. Students may also elect to take a relevant course from one of our other environmental Masters degrees.

Entry Requirements
An appropriate first degree in an ecological, scientific or environment management discipline. Applicants from other backgrounds will be considered, but should contact the programme leader in the first instance.
