Year 1: Biochemistry; genetics and molecular biology; microbiology; animal and plant diversity; environmental biology.
Year 2: 6 modules from: behavioural ecology; applied and environmental microbiology; marine biology; population and evolutionary genetics; crop science; plants and environment; plant growth and development; invertebrate biology. The modules in behavioural ecology and plants and environment have associated field courses.
Year 3: 2-module research project. 4 modules in: biological basis of behaviour; fisheries biology, aquaculture and aquatic resources; marine processes; plant microbial interactions; plant biotechnology; advanced topics in applied plant science; pest management; parasitology.
