Course Description
This short course will be useful to all nurses responsible for the Care of Older People within a variety of settings. Covering a range of topics that bear directly on the nursing care, the course addresses the recent National Service Framework for Older People and gives you the opportunity to explore its implications within your own clinical work. Aspects covered include rooting out age discrimination, developing real person-centred care, risk management in relation to falls, the care of patients who suffer stroke and the mental health needs of individuals. Well also be focusing on the development of positive approaches in nursing care that includes the promotion of health and active life in old age.
