The Language Centre was founded in 1962 and is located at 79-80 Margaret Street, a quiet street just north of Oxford Street in the Fitzrovia district of London.

Aimed at people currently living and working in London who wish to improve and become more confident in their use of Standard English pronunciation both socially and at work. With a maximum of 6 participants on a course, students are guaranteed a very high level of personal attention and participation. The course is a practical one that aims to work on key aspects of Spoken English. On the course students will: Study the 'points of articulation' for vowels, diphthongs and consonants, work on stressed and unstressed syllables and words in sentences, work on linking words together, learn spelling and pronunciation 'rules', sentence intonation, work on features of connected speech.
