This course offers students an opportunity to develop their ability to analyse written and spoken language using a literary and linguistic approach. They will be able to use their knowledge about the features of language to produce their own writing. They will study novels, poetry and drama from a range of eras and cultures, with the focus being on how the writer uses language in their work.
Students must have 5 GSCEs grade C including English Language and English Literature.
