This course is an exciting blend of different approaches to fiction and non-fiction, as well as involving study of spoken language in a variety of situations. The subject touches on and complements other subject areas such as Psychology, Sociology, History, Drama and Media Studies, and is particularly favoured by university Law departments. Students will learn to describe how language works and will extend this study to some works of literature in both years. Modules include exploring voices in speech and writing and creating texts.
Students should be aged between 16 to 18 years and they should have a grade C in English.
