In English language and communication, students are introduced to the role and function of language in relation to other forms of communication; they examine how different systems of communication work in the real world, and develop the ability to think and write critically; they discover how to make sense of the world through language, and explore the interaction between communication and society; Spanish students build upon existing knowledge of Spanish and develop competence in speaking, writing, reading and listening to the language; they practice a range of professional language techniques such as translating and editing; they can choose to spend a period abroad in 1 of the partner universities in Spain and gain the unique experience of participating in Spanish academic and cultural life.
