Years 2 and 3: Students choose electronic engineering or mechanical engineering or mechatronics. Students spend their 2nd year studying at a university in the USA or Canada. They return for the 3rd year and study the subjects of their chosen degree. Electronic engineering: Analogue and digital electronics; communications; control; digital signal processing; dynamics; electric power and machines; embedded computer systems; integrated circuit design, management and organisation; microprocessors; optoelectronics; software engineering; project; mechanical engineering: Digital electronics; management and organisation; control; materials design; microprocessors; dynamics; structures; electric power and machines; thermodynamics; finite element techniques; machine elements; project. Year 4: Design; team design project; project management; plus options from: sensors and actuators; intelligent systems and control; microsystems; embedded systems; manufacturing systems.
