Course Description
This course focuses on hardware and software integration methodologies together with the incorporation. It covers the following: Research methods; Advanced Computer Architecture; Neurofuzz systems and cybernetics; Project: Three taught modules: contributing to the awards - DSP and ASIC Architectures and Applications; DSP and Biometrics systems; Optional - Data communications and mobile communication systems; Data communications and optoelectronic Systems; Mixed mode and VLSI technologies; Mobile Multicast and Multimedia network; Distributed systems and security; DSP and Mobile communication systems; Optical communication Systems and networks; Distributed systems and security.

Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09 are likely to rise by approximately 5%, from the foregoing 2007/08 fees quoted: taught & research full-time £4500 & part-time £375 (per 15 credit taught module); part-time research £1230; Professional doctorates will ordinarily charged at the above mentioned research rates, whilst DMan will cost £10000. You are advised to check with the Provider, concerning individual course fees.

Entry Requirements
Good honours degree in Electronics or a related discipline such as Computer engineering. You are expected to have been exposed to material of sufficient depth to enable you to benefit from a research-base study programme in your chosen specialist course.
