This course aims to provide the basic theoretical and practical training aspects of current industrial practice in the electronics industry; to use modern computer aided design facilities for the design and simulation of analogue and digital circuits and to consider EMC characteristics; to include all aspects of new components, materials and devices including surface mount technology and microelectronic developments; to develop an awareness of company structure and management in the electronics industry and to develop personal communicable skills; to obtain an awareness of modern manufacturing practices in the electronics industry through external lecturers, industrial visits, attendance at trade fairs and industrial placements for the project.
